Alex Hartman Black Islandic Saga. Very black but also sad and melancholic.
Sekator

Sekator Icelandic blackened viking metal with a doomy touch. Usually not my thing, but this is actually really good.

The native language vocals fit the mood perfectly, much better than if they were in English.

Favorite track: Tími er kominn at kveða fyrir þér.

Kÿle Macqüarrie Epically solemn Icelandic folk/black metal. The unusual string and clean voice arrangements make a refreshing change from the more conventional folk-metal sound. Favorite track: Knǫrr siglandi birtisk á löngu bláu yfirborði.

Andreas Muskat The whole Album is amazing. You listen the dark waves comeing out from the Island and the voice including is a perfect match. This CD is a most. And it reminds me a bit on early Thyrfing. But Árstíðir lífsins is a bit rougher and darker. excellent. Favorite track: Norðsæta gætis, herforingja Ormsins langa.
